XTENDED ENGINEERING specialises in the automotive and aerospace sectors, in rail vehicle engineering and special machine construction / precision engineering.
We either go to the customer or work from our engineering offices, send a lone fighter or an entire team. Either way, we provide highly qualified specialists and managers who carry out all the necessary work quickly and enthusiastically, cost-effectively and competently.

Your areas of responsibility
Mechanical design
Our staff have sound expertise in the fields of design, development, construction and documentation of components, assembly groups and complete systems in a wide variety of sectors.
They are also proficient in several CAD systems and have solid computation skills – from prototype construction to series production, whether solids or freeform surfaces.
Calculation and simulation
Cross-linking and calculation of components and systems in all aspects of machine construction; from static and dynamic calculations to airflow-related analyses, simulations and specialist assessments/interpretation of respective findings in collaboration with construction and testing.
Testing
Independent implementation, evaluation and interpretation of various tests, from simple component tests to complex overall system tests.
Through teamwork and collaboration between those responsible for construction, calculation and testing, we achieve optimal and usually cost-effective results and tangible competitive advantages for our customers.
Project Manager /Resident
Our project engineers and project managers are not just responsible for components and assembly groups but also for fully automatic special installations. They also aim to fully satisfy all customer requirements as regards technical feasibility, costs, the timeline and the entire coordination of the development team. This is why we also make sure that detailed information is exchanged and matters agreed with the interface functions. This then results in ideal solutions that are almost certain to avoid delays and cost-intensive rework in production and assembly later on.
Process engineer
The exciting work of the process engineer presents a particular challenge. Process development, process introduction and later process monitoring not only require analytical expertise and sound basic operational knowledge but also exceptional skill, experience and a great deal of diplomatic sensitivit
Managers
“Leadership” is not just delegating and controlling staff but also involves “motivating” the team – this is a task of great importance in addition to the necessary organisational talents. A leader in particular needs to have outstanding social skills as well as specialist and operational knowledge – only then can the necessary problem-solving expertise be applied to manage difficult situations.
Normally, our managers are responsible for a team of developers and specialists. Successful coordination ensures that the customer’s goals are achieved with the highest degree of quality.
We expect our managers to have a great sense of responsibility and also the ability to adopt an active role as “moderator”, interacting with the various players involved. They are tasked with ensuring that interaction between customers, suppliers and the core development team runs smoothly.
Quality management
Quality management continues to gain in significance because of the growing demands of increasingly complex industrial products. Our quality managers accompany their customer’s products from the design stage to series production, from quality assurance to supplier development. The absolute bottom line in this field is experience.
Purchasing, Controlling, Logistics
We aim to manage both the technical aspects of our customers’ projects and also provide greater support to the commercial side. This means we can also offer customers key functions in many commercial areas, ranging from technical purchasing and technical project controlling to demanding logistics solutions.

Our extensive training and development programme is both intensive and demanding and is regarded as exemplary; it is partly carried out internally and also uses qualified external providers, framework agreement and cooperation partners.

Through internal training programmes carried out by our own project staff who organise technical presentations e.g. quality managers, project managers, design engineers, FEM, computational engineers, test engineers, programmers, automation engineers; specialist and inter-disciplinary exchange.
